Making a personal logo and slogan was on the task for today. The logo part is about drawing something that speaks to you. Things you like to do, images you like, something that you draw a lot, basically anything that you look at and can trace it back to your personal lifestyle.
The logo I have drawn is my signature with an arrow and an anchor. The reason I have made this is because I like to feel grounded as a person, but at the same time I want to soar into new boundaries just like an arrow would.
As for my slogan would be something like "Stay grounded but soar in new adventures" or "putting your name in the right direction". Now these might not be the greatest slogans I will put more time into finding a better one, it all means something important and I've realized that this class period was just trying to do that.

Questionnaire Type of Day
October 25, 2017
Class today was very personal in understanding what are futures should be as well as personal questions that will really make you understand life. We completed a Myers Briggs questionnaire regarding who we are as a person. This 63 question questionnaire was interesting to see what professions would I be good at as well as people who have the same characteristics as I do. What I learned from this questionnaire was that I am in the correct field of study, and all of my hobbies and things I like to do correspond with who I am as a person and what my future holds.

Motivational Feedback
October 23, 2017
Today I'm going to talk about feedback through a experiment that we did in class. I'm not quite sure what the game was called so I'm going to call it "Tennis Shot". So basically the objective was to throw a tennis ball into a basket blindfolded and see how many tennis balls you can make in 30 seconds. The goal of the audience was to give feedback to the person participating in the game, but we had to follow a guideline each time someone participated.
Here was our rules:
1. The first person who played the game we were only to give them positive feedback, even if the missed.
2. The second person who played the game we were only to give them negative feedback. Saying mean things and making fun of them regardless if they missed or made the tennis ball.
3. The third person who played the game we were supposed to say nothing. Let that person play the game in complete silence.
4. The fourth person who played the game we were giving them positive and negative feedback. Either cheer when they make it or boo when they don't make it.
In the end we came up with what the best feedback is to get at a job. Though many say all positive its actually the final one, positive and negative. The reason for this is because we want our other employers to help us out. Negative feedback makes that person stronger in their frame of work. So as I now know this I will implement this into my personal life. Making sure that when I'm getting negative feedback I will push myself harder and learn from those bad choices I have made.

Guest Speaker

Executive Skills
Today we had a guest speaker who was here to talk about executive search. Ignacio Macaya is a business who runs a business called Macaya Consulting & Executive Research. This business helps out clients who are looking for an employee in the higher up executive levels of the company. His business helps save the clients time and effort looking for someone theirselves as they still need to run their business and production.
As the presentation was mainly Q & A we had a lot of time to ask him questions and really understand what he does, and how important this type of job is. It's interesting how much work goes into recruiting potential employees. He says telling us that it could take as little as 1 month or as long as 18 months, it all depends on the company.
Some of the things that I learned for myself to improve on in the future if I am ever put into a situation which I am competing against others for a job I will need:
- Great interview skills
- Eye to eye contact
- Body Language
- Summarizing question (don't speak too much about one topic)
- Relate your answers to the company goals
- Know about the company you could be potentially working for
- Look the part
- Show you're motivated
- Linkedin Profile
- Make it informational
- Well structured
- Professional writing
- Stand-out compared to others

Story Of My Life
October 16, 2017
Self Bio
Today we learned about how to write a self biography but not the normal self biography that I have personally wrote in the senior year of high school. Our self biography are more leaning towards how we have perceived our life, what have we noticed about ourselves that we can relate back to our childhood. This self bio is important if you're ever asked to give one to a potential job in an interview, they will observe this biography to see what your true assets are and what they can notice about you as a person as well.
I wrote my self biography on how my competitiveness, being involved, and my activeness have all played a crucial role in who I am today. As I continue to write it, memories pop into my head that I have been very thankful about. These memories are who I am today without any of the things I was involved in and the people I have met along the way, I would be a way different person that I am today.
These boys have been such a role model in my life and nothing would be the same if I hadn't joined soccer. Most of these guys have been playing soccer with me since we were about 8 years old. It's awesome re-seeing these memories and thinking about all the good times we had. Having a work force or clienteles who make me feel this same exact way would be beneficial for me as for everyone else.

Vision, Mission, and Values
October 9th
Being Impactful is Pure Gold
Our final project in Human Resource Management requires us to make a Marketing Plan Scheme. Today we started talking about what our powerpoint will begin with:Vision, Mission, and Values. What I learned is very essential to who I should be in the future. This is very important because our common core is what's going to strive us to be better in the future. We also watched a very interesting movie called "The Guardian" which speaks leadership on so many levels. This movie will definitely one that I will watch whenever I'm feeling down about my career or my leadership.

Assessment Centers
October 4, 2017
Motivational Wednesday?!?
Assessment centers are way in which a company can assess future potential employees without having to meet with each of them one on one. We were given one of two articles to read to broaden our knowledge about assessment center because some classmates, including me, had no idea what this was. The article I was given brought us to a personal level and talked about how they work and the pros/cons about having assessment centers in businesses. I now have a good picture of what assessment centers do and how to prepare for them in the future, if I ever have to be in one.
Secondly, we watched part of a movie called "The Method." This movie was about seven potential employers going through the assessment process and they will be eliminated if the company doesn't seem a like certain person isn't fitting for that position. In the end one person will be left, giving them a job in this firm. We haven't watched the whole movie yet, but I hope to learn more about the movie that I can trace back into my personal life.
Overall I learned that even though a position in a company looks very appealing and the wage might be very good, you're not fit for every company. Know your limits and present to the company the true you. If you don't end up doing that and you get the job, you won't feel like yourself which will be stressful from the beginning. Assessment centers are helping out the HRM to find the perfect candidate, you don't need to be better than everyone. Just be yourself and the world will take you on a trip of a lifetime.

Internet = Power
2nd October, 2017
How Much Does The Internet Know About Yourself?
Class today started off with a eye opening commercial, recored in Belgium (I will post the link at the bottom) about a man "reading" random peoples minds. At least thats what I thought it was at first. He started off grabbing random people off the street and telling them he was going to read their minds for a movie they're shooting. As the people agreed he brought them into a tent and was going to read their minds, in which they probably thought it would be a light notion of how they're feeling. But it got a lot more personal, which made the video way more interesting.
Here are some of the things that we was "reading" from people minds:
1. Boyfriends name (First, Middle, Last)
2. Best friends name (First, Middle, Last)
3. Where they live
4. Where they work
5. What school they attend
6. What vehicle they drive
Then he took it up a notch:
1. Bank Account number
2. Transactions
3. Bank Balances
4. Exactly how much someone spent last weekend
5. How much someone is selling their house for
6. Exactly every digit on someones credit card
As people were kind of freaked out by all of his mind reading, a drape falls beside him and on the other side of the drape were people dressed in all black, going on the internet and taking peoples identity from them. You could see everything about that specific person, and those people probably had no idea that people could do that.
The commercial ends with: "Your entire life is online, And it might be used against you"
This commercial was very interesting to me and knowing that people can know a lot about your life is a very scary thing. Always be aware of what you post on social media because your jobs, and your future could be ruined because of one post, 5 years ago.
