Homecoming through the years
Homecoming is the best part of the first semester. It is made up of dress up days for the week and getting out of school early on Friday to watch powder puff football and being a part of some fun games. Then Friday night the football team has a game and a lot of people come out and support our Tigers. But do they do the same thing every year? In 1983 when my parents were in high school, they were telling me that their homecoming was the same but they also had a lot more that they did too. During half time of the football game they had a marching band and cheerleaders that would dance and play music in the middle of the field. The homecoming candidates got to rent convertibles and drive them around the track of the field all dressed up. The seniors spray painted the roads from Hammer to Bridge street and they also got to tee pee central park. So based on that, I feel that 30 years ago they had a lot more fun on homecoming and they did a lot more activities. In my opinion I would want to have a fun homecoming like that.
