Ibrahimovic

My favorite person in this world is my main man Zlatan Ibrahimovic. This man is an incredible soccer star and is known all around the world for his natural soccer skills. He is my role model but he's a  lot different then I am. He really tall and muscular, AMAZING soccer player, and just simply a boss. It really stinks that he is not playing in the Fifa world cup this summer but it doesn't matter because he is showing up everyone on his club team.
This is what I am talking about...

Thankful

There's a lot of thing that I am thankful for but here are my top 3...
  •My family
  •My friends
  •ICE CREAM
My family is a really big part of me and I'm so glad that they are always here for me also. I'm thankful for food on the table and a roof over my head. My family does a lot and I couldn't be any happier about it. Sometimes they don't make me the happiest or I don't get what I want but that all leads to other great things in life. They support me as I go on through my life and through my sports and musicals. It's so much fun meeting with all of them during Christmas and Easter and especially turkey day!
Where do I even start with my friends, they are with me though thick and thin, good times and bad. They are by your side and can always boost you up. My friends are pretty much like a second family to me. Make me laugh and smile and it's great to have people like that.
Ice cream can be talked about another time!
  That's what I'm thankful for!

Leadership

I feel that leadership is a big role in life. Weather its being captain of a sports team or maybe a lead role in a play, leadership comes in all different places. Having leadership in life to me is awesome, it can get you into jobs or in schooling or even sports. Being a leader in sports is by far the best leadership that I believe. You are helping a lot more people out than yourself and you're making people look up to you and wanting to be like you. I love people with leadership and I think that people think that I can be a leader with is an honor to have and for people to thin about that too.

Cancun, 2011

The Easter of 2011 my parents wanted to take us on a trip. We packed our bags and headed to Mexico! In Mexico we stayed at a resort in a villa. So it was great because everyday when we woke up in the morning we would look out to a beautiful scenery of the ocean and the pool. Also when we went there we went to a festival, went out to eat to some places that people around recommended which was really good! It was sad leaving but in the end we went last Christmas and we bought a timeshare! So hopefully in the years to come we will go a lot more and even bring friends along with! My favorite part about vacations is the weather and being alone from people with texting or calling from people.

MoRaLs

Some of the morals that I believe for myself is in marriage I think it should be between a man and a woman, not a same sex marriage. Also in the second amendment "right to bare arms" I think that you shouldn't be able to have guns in your house but I also think that it is good too because most if the people that kill people like the movie theatre shooting, he didn't have a gun permit because he stole the gun from his mothers house. Another big this in this world is animal cruelty. The people that do that are so wrong in every way possible, I feel like that is just like hurting a person. So those are my opinions on everything so you can disagree if you want but that's not going to change my morals on those things.

Colombia

When I was 11 my family and I took a trip to Bogotá, Colombia. We went in the summer of 2010 and we went there as a missionaries. I personally am not a good person with heights, so this trip was a little hard for me because it was a 8 hr plane ride over the Atlantic Ocean. Also we missed our flight going to Colombia so we had to find another plane and we were running around trying to get another fight. We finally got one and so that meant that we would get to the place we were staying a little later. So as we were going as missionaries my family and I were also going because my brother was adopted from there. The experience I had helping out and having fun with the kids that we did stuff with. Also it was nice because we helped out buy making a water fountain in the school, putting tile in, in the school, fixing beds for people that were broken. My favorite part about it all was when we got to play soccer with the little kids and we took them out to a nice supper and went to the biggest mall in Colombia. It was sad leaving all the kids that we became friends with and hung out with for the whole week and a half that we were there for. It really shows how lucky we are to have a county like this and we take things to an advantage. I would definitely go back and be a part of something than sitting here in the United States complaining that the remote is too far away and I'm too lazy to go get it.
Here's some photos of my trip...

Dear Bruno Mars

My name is Schafer Overgaard and I am in 10th grade. I live in Albert lea, Minnesota. I play hockey and soccer and tennis. I am writing this letter because I admire you very much
I love your music Becuase when you sing it makes me feel happy and makes me think who I really am and other things in life. My favorite songs of yours are "just the way you are", "grenade", and "the other side" I love to sing your music.
I have some questions for you if you ever read this.
How long have you been famous?
What is your best rated song from your fans?
Who is the best artist that you have performed with in your opinion?
Ps(I wrote this in 5th grade so I changed up the words a little bit but you're still amazing)

HOPE...solo

We'll this is hope but not really (you'll get what I mean). Hope Solo is a great person, she was born on July 30th 1981 in Washington. Hope Solo is a goalkeeper and has been playing soccer ever since she was young. She has played for the Richland bombers and the Washington huskies when she was younger. Now she plays as the starting goalkeeper for the women's USA national team. Her and her team have won gold metals and World Cup metals. She is referred to one of the best goalkeeper in the world.also she is known for her legendary shoes and her good looks! She is really fortunate to have her skills and to also have a great team with her. I love watching them and seeing how they play and putting that into my soccer skills. She is a great person and I am glad that she was put on the earth to be a beast!!

Representing a true American.

#beauty

"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", this very popular quote can be taken in many different ways. Every person has a different out take on what's beautiful to them. I feel like it doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, it's the inside beauty that matters to me the most. Every person has beauty and they don't know it. They will find someone that can really connect with and they will understand now that they have beauty and somebody sees it and wants to be with you. Another thing that girls do it's in my opinion they try to put a lot of makeup on because they want to look better but unfortunately it doesn't work that much. Another beauty that I have is if they don't wear makeup they are showing their natural beauty and that's also a big factor in life too. Just like Bruno Mars said in his hit song "girl you're amazing just the way you are."

Happiness

Can money buy you happiness? This question can go in so many different ways and get a lot of different answers, but this is what it means to me. I do not think that money can bring you happiness, money can buy you cool clothes, cars, houses etc. In my perspective happiness come from the heart, it is made from your peers and other things that you like. Honor is also what I think that can spark peoples happiness. Being nice, saying thank you, helping someone out all can make people happy and make you feel good also. So in conclusion money is just something to make you like the rest of the people and or your best friends. Then happiness is love and honor which goes for eternity. Nobody can change that or take that from you which is outstanding to me.

Seasonal change

From fall to winter to spring to summer the weather always changes. This is seasonal change, what I love about this is that in a country all the way around the world from us they're in a totally different season. Also in the northern states like Minnesota we have weird seasons. For instance we've had -30 degree weather in the winter and then a couple of years ago we didn't even have snow for the whole winter. I'm kind of glad that Minnesota has different weather because it would be boring having all hot or all cold weather but we have 4 different season witch is awesome! I love how this earth is formed and how weather is changed around the world it is a beautiful place and it's filled with so much people and temperatures!

Game night

Last night as I was coming home from a fantastic soccer game, I got a call. It was from my friend Tyler and he asked me if I wanted to come over and have a gaming night with some friends. I didn't hesitate and said yes right away. It was about midnight now and I just get to his house. I went downstairs to see 3 big TVs and 3 xboxs! So the 6 of us were playing video games all night long until it's was about 5am and we decided to go to bed. It was a lot of fun hanging out with these people that a like very much and to have to night of our lives. I really hope we do this again soon!!!

What Is Friendship?

Friendship is a really big part of me. I have lots of friends that will stick by my side through a lot. One of my friends since kindergarden is still really close to me and were getting to know each other even more, even though we have been friends for so long. She has been by my side through a lot and I am glad to say that she is one of my best friends. I feel that she is what a best friend is like. Also in a lot of peoples cases they have seasonal friends. Which is during sports or activities you have friends that are really close to you but then the fade away once you get into a different sport or activity in a different season. But no matter what I love my friends and they will always be apart of my life.

Soccer

Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do. — Pele. This is soccer. Soccer to me is everything, I love playing, practicing, coaching, and reffing soccer. Going out in my backyard and kicking on my net with some friends is just so much fun and another reason that i love the sport. Soccer is based upon 11 people on the field on each of the two teams, trying to score as many goals as you can in the time given. There good days and bad days in soccer also. One of the good days in my soccer career right now is when we went to state and won!!! Then one of not not so good days was when I was reffing and the coach screamed at me and i felt like i wanted to quit reffing forever. So based on this i would definitely recommend joining a soccer program or even just playing with your friends. You wont regret it!

What does a fox say?

When I was younger I was taught what a dog says and a pig, cow, sheep, and a lot more animals sounds but I was never taught what a fox says. People say that a fox has no specific sound, but 2 brothers from Norway made it all happen. Ylvis the group of 2 brothers made a song about what does the fox say. They were trying to explain how there's a sound that nobody knows, what does a fox say? Ever since this video has been out its been going viral. People hate it, and some people love it. Ylvis was trying to explain also that there is no actual sound for a fox so they made a bunch of new sounds. This song is very catchy and you will get it stuck in your head very quickly. So as I have been listening to this song I have became more aware that a fox is a special animal but nobody actually hasn't noticed it. So hopefully youve seen this video and came to realize that nobody knows what the sound of a fox is.

Homecoming through the years

Homecoming is the best part of the first semester. It is made up of dress up days for the week and getting out of school early on Friday to watch powder puff football and being a part of some fun games. Then Friday night the football team has a game and a lot of people come out and support our Tigers. But do they do the same thing every year? In 1983 when my parents were in high school, they were telling me that their homecoming was the same but they also had a lot more that they did too. During half time of the football game they had a marching band and cheerleaders that would dance and play music in the middle of the field. The homecoming candidates got to rent convertibles and drive them around the track of the field all dressed up. The seniors spray painted the roads from Hammer to Bridge street and they also got to tee pee central park. So based on that, I feel that 30 years ago they had a lot more fun on homecoming and they did a lot more activities. In my opinion I would want to have a fun homecoming like that.
